Koussanar, heart of Senegal

Koussanar is a region of Senegal 500 km west of Dakar. The strong depopulation and increasingly difficult life situations have led Italian NGOs to create international development and cooperation projects aimed at improving the living conditions of the inhabitants.

The creation of schools, wells, a much listened to radio and horticultural projects have helped in the reconstruction of a torn social fabric.
